i'm bored with my printer

i think about getting a new printer.

there's nothing wrong

with the one i have.

dull black with a little blue

light.

it prints if i feed it enough

paper and ink.

it makes copies, it can scan.

it can even fax

if i want it to, although i've

never faxed a single thing

to anyone.

but it's dusty.

and noisy at times.

i want to be able to talk to it,

instead of going through

the trouble of pushing buttons.

i want to boss it around,

to have it make me a cup 

of hot coffee.

i want it to do more than

just print and scan.

i'm bored with it, and i'm

in the market.

it's about to go into the closet

with the other printers

i've had.
