high mass
i do like the stained
glass,
the arched stone,
the mystery of it all.
the old Latin
mass,
the smoke and mirrors,
the enormous
Christ on a cross.
the sorrow and sadness
rings true.
the joy of resurrection
hardly
noticed
as i kneel painfully
in an empty
pew.

hazards of the job
just sharks being sharks
biblical times
on second thought
waiting on Jane
the old bike
oh what a world, what a world....
get over yourself
will you vote for me
it's legal, man
life lessons
before and after
a wonderful day
yearly inspection
maybe a brownstone on the west side
before Dallas
the twilight zone
dinner is served
no green thumb
packing lightly
full of bats
skin deep
the cat on the sill
the history of floors
jump shot from the corner
the peephole
things settle down
Blanket
au revoir
the lesser of two evils
a generous helping
my lawyer
lowered expectations
stop, don't tell me
bread crumbing
seize the nap
cabbage rolls
going out for awhile
he's not the same man i married
places we've never been
you know
her obituary
the same path
making change from the church basket
a million dollars, pfffft
perfectly imperfect
music to shop by
moving out day
religious thieves
another war
another life on the west coast
jump in
her leather gloves
it's not over yet
just one candle please
have they all grown?
the furious cold
learning to swim
saying No to Zen
a mouse strolls by
miscellaneous days
don't rain, i need the money
a swan song
twist off caps
what's your overhead on the ribeyes?
it's easy, she says
the sunday plumber
what wasn't new then?
winter in Boston
the jar lamp
quaint memories
time to start giving back
being misunderstood
the six iron
let's go sailing
house arrest
debonair days
st. petersburg
there were people here
it's about money
just pack and leave
the next man down
a snow shower
the claws of the world
serenity knitting
the worst is yet to come
her days in the big top
a thin layer of dust
the last check written
giving too much
the quiet room
rolling in the hay
his dark cloud
my butter churn
the neighborhood has changed
no herbal tea
sorry i missed your call
blue eggs
olive bread
the way in is the way out
