Reading and reading and reading the red comet

i make a new years 

resolution

to finish

the book i've been reading

for nearly a full year.

the life and times of

Sylvia Plath,

called, The Red Comet.

it's endless.

thick as a cinder block.

it records nearly every word

she spoke,

every thought she had

in her mind, every meal she

ate, boy she kissed

and a dissection of

every poem she wrote.

she only lived until the age

of 30.

whew.

i can only imagine

the size of the book

if she had made it to my age.

my story may be

an illustrated

comic book, at best.
