in the early morning. in no
hurry to get up.
it's sunday.
i will not be going to church.
i will
leave that for the unbelievers.
for the sinners who
need constant washing
and reassurance.
my faith is safe
within me.
i don't want it bothered
by others.
we are human. we fail
one another, ourselves.
we are forgiven.
i lie in bed
and await the next thought
to awaken me
further.
