waiting in the hot tub

some see a mountain,

a snowy airless peak

and want

to climb it.

others, including me

see it and say

no thanks,

i think i'll stay here.

have a sandwich,

a cold beer.

but i'll be waiting for

you in the hot tub

for if and when you

do return.
