aren't going the way we'd like
them to.
we'd like to hit the button
as we do
on television
and see what's up ahead.
the plot has slowed,
the characters thinned
the whole thing has taken
a wrong turn.
we'd like
to get out of this
relationship, this job,
this time in history where
the world
seems upside down.
