a calming green

i put my finger into

the meter box

that i invented to determine

my feelings,

the level of

good or bad

that i'm feeling that day.

i push the red button

and feel the pulse of the

machine

as it churns taking in all

of my vital signs.

it's a color wheel

with an arrow that 

swings

from pale blue. to red,

then black,  which signifies

near death.

i've been nearly every color

over the past few

years.

but now it gently finds

a calming green, a 

good place to be, as

the whirring comes to rest.
