i'm not sure how Halloween
became the biggest
holiday of the year,
but it is.
I think it's the candy
makers of the world
driving the bus
on this one.
the pumpkin farms and
hallmark cards.
what is there to celebrate?
ghosts, demons,
death?
spider webs in the bushes.
the costumes
of the dead,
women dressed as hooker
witches.
children as ghouls,
even dogs
are wearing masks
as they howl at the moon.
