buying
the orange chair
with large wide cushions,
midcentury modern,
the bright
retina damaging
chair
that consumed all the light
in the room.
so i gave it away.
then i crazily married the girl
i'd given it to,
so the chair returned,
but in short
order,
i regretted her too.
eventually they both
had to go.
