they do catch the bad guy.
they
track him
down
and end his flight.
six or seven authority figures
get up at the podium
and tell
us the story of how
they did it,
patting each other on the back,
each happy
to share the limelight.
it all goes away
eventually,
except for the lingering
conspiracy theories
that will
go on until the end of time.
the crime
is solved. case closed.
but no worries, more
mayhem is coming down
the pike.
