the grocery store i find
a folded grocery list on the floor.
it's written in black ink.
the handwriting is very nice,
i suspect that the writer
of the note
went to Catholic School
or was taught at home.
the letters are very clean
and clear
with hardly any flourish,
all of it between the lines.
bread, milk, eggs,
grapes,
toilet paper,
paper towels.
Tide and Dial Soap.
at the bottom is the word
Oreos, which may have
been written by a child,
but crossed out.
i decide to use this list
to do my own shopping,
i circle the word Oreos,
which i put into
my shopping cart first.
