how i got this bruise
on my ribs,
a blue
egg turning green
and then,
i imagine
eventually
a yellowish brown.
was it the door i bumped
into,
the corner of a wall.
did i fall up the stairs
again
and bang
into the rail. or was it
you again, mad
as a hornet,
your elbow hitting me
as you rushed
out the door?
