but not so curious enough
to get out
of bed
to see what the noise
is downstairs.
a break in,
a raccoon, mice
in the cupboard,
the fridge on the fritz.
the popping
of an old birthday
balloon?
i'll wait it out
a little longer,
maybe i'll fall asleep again
and in the morning
deal with it.
put it on a list
of things
i half care about these days.
