my morning cold shower.
freezing
cold
with the pipes still
hanging
onto winter,
despite April ninth.
i stand
in it,
until my skin is numb
and i'm awake.
tingling
all over.
it's always interesting
to start
the day
with a little pain,
it's downhill from there.
all gravy.
