the garden party

as i look out

into the green yard

flush

with rain.

the ground filled,

not a stone seen.

there is so much

growing up and beyond

the fence,

i wonder what's a weed

and what

isn't.

does it matter, i won't

be part of'

the neighborhood

garden

party

anytime soon.
