you have to forgive, take
the higher road,
it's the only the way
to heal your heart,
calm your soul.
forgive and let go.
but i say no.
leave the forgiveness
to a higher power,
apologies
and admission of guilt
precede forgiveness.
i want to hear regret
and remorse before
i stoop that low.
