Ocean Living

we spin

the old metal globe

and stop

it with a finger, vowing

that this is where

we'll go

to get away from it all.

to get away

from the chaos and crime

of life in the states.

it's the middle

of the Atlantic Ocean.

we shrug

and say, okay.

but i guess we'll need

a boat

and we might have

to get rid of a few

things

before we leave.

don't forget the sunscreen

and a fishing rod.
