keep it to yourself
they say
that we all have at least one
book in us.
a novel
about ourselves,
our life,
our own stories
told
from memory.
thankfully, not everyone
has the time
to write one.
most tales being boring,
and tame.

keep it to yourself
personal letters
trust the gut
doing it all with a flashlight
the small thin box
episode three of the bubble gum chewer
waiting on the rooftop
the green apple
she will be missed
your skin and your soul
covering your basis
your own blue zone
big changes
it says so in the Bible
can i interest you in some firewood?
very small fish
the stop the oil knuckleheads
Saturday night at home depot
bread pudding
the darkened screen
the good ear
more lidocaine please
staging
the reluctant patient
uncertain fashion statements
ohhh what a world, what a world
his last hurricane
from your perspective
practicing screams
stuck in the algorithm
the road now taken
three in the wind
this hammer
then a cloud appears
get a job, any job
the tandem kayak
you're letting the flies in
find a new friend
the over 55 community
the ice age ice box
the ocean view window
The Borderline Disorder
the lingering cough
the laminated phone list
finding the broom
let's get out of here
a closet full of memories
who's Lucille?
a prisoner for life
she was good with the basics
paper planes
wishing and hoping
before i stoop that low
the ripples
the Porto-Potty
trouble on the high seas
she's tik tok ready now
so much to wring our hands over
winning the blue ribbon
towards some end
Rimute from Germany
the cluttered moon
i won't be long
the purple front door
i didn't do it
the final divorce party
the blue light special
Ocean Living
the art of sleeping with someone
the great debates
one out of two marriages fail
the good China
the next wind out
the great divide
six speed manual
the wild west
mother's chicken soup
the tent life
jake's best days
can i borrow the car dad?
our museums
the pretty girls in Paris
Therapy, now open for business
the human ball
the know it all
oh look, a pig
finding the muse
one way conversations
the same view
Safeway has fish
i won't stay too long
the red umbrella
a small garden salad?
it's all the same now
her lemon pie
lean into it
they're out there
across the miles
the train station
evolution baloney
