this might hurt a little

it's just a small

black dot,

a defect

in the bone white tooth, 

and yet

the needle will slide

into the gum

below it,

pink

and soft

and take the numbing

juice.

then the drill

will appear,

as if out of nowhere,

and so it begins.

why oh why

did i eat
