i can still see them
stretched out
across the bed.
never have i seen a pair

like that.
not in the movies or
on stage,
the radio city dancers
had nothing on
her.
the best legs this side
of Sausalito.
if only she had a sense
of humor,
those legs might still
be here
sashaying up the stairs.
