i start replacing things in the house.
they've grown tired
and old,
windows,
the refrigerator.
the stove,
the furnace
the ac
the water heater.
the kitchen floor.
i install
new carpet.
new curtains,
a new vase for the mantle.
out with old and in with the new.
and least i forget,
her too.
