I was out on my horse the other
day riding the range.
checking out the lower forty.
we galloped along at a fast pace.
through the woods until
it opened into a flat
green plain.
it was a beautiful day.
we went for hours until
we reached the stream that bordered
the land.
then we stopped. we ate, we drank.
we stayed and slept.
we let the moon come out
and guide us home under
a silver band. it's not always
about love.
