the busy girl

the electricians come,
the painters,
the power washers, the dog
walker,
the maid,
the help
all arrive. she's a busy
girl in her white coat,
with her stethoscope,
so smart and kind.
overwhelmed at times, but
still finding
an hour or two, or nine
to throw my way
when the weekends come.
