don't say yes
i don't expect you
to agree
with me.
don't take my side.
take your
own side
and contradict what i say.
please
don't be a yes
person,
i'll lose respect for you,
as you would
for me
if i did the same.

welcome Greenland
the three month no refund yoga class
your Saturday clothes
more of an inside guy
a new face to live with
we just don't get along dagnabit
lost and never found
i can beat that
plowing the field
too much information
the senate confirmation hearings
her girlfriends
let's go for a ride
with the green sea behind you
stick to your guns
in praise of old windows
i have no answer to that
chocolate cake and you
the martini days
mums the word
can we have some?
getting even
towards the waterfall
see you at 8 for dinner
climbing the white tree
layers of dust
everything must go, come on in
clipping coupons
lie down beside me
the endless sending of photographs
don't say yes
the smelt are thriving
a dozen x's and o's
why is God punishing me like this?
press one and hold
the almost amended will
in the land of Oz
three culinary experiences
all these tasty bugs
there's just ashes
all those winter coats
the lids are stuck on some
making the crops come up
when the world became clear
the sheet cake
searching for buried treasure
kumbaya
the pink horizon
you can't stop what's coming
eating alone on a Saturday night
hanging on for dear life
Oh, those nurses
a little mystery
the old sailor
i don't expect the phone to ring
pack light and go
her muddy crystal ball
before the sun rose
one brown mouse
the rise and fall
let me die in my bed
the lock box under the bed
Thomas the cat
the short and sweet obit
please go on, i'm just going to nap a bit
you can see how busy i am
the ambivalent mourners
one less rabbit in the garden
and just like that
the carrier pigeons
the slight of hand
but then what?
wishful thinking
the uneventful end
the enormous enchilada
flying cold chickens
it's hard to leave
everything beautiful
what would silence mean?
idle hands
your silent joy
untying her knots
when you're far or near
waiting for joy to fall
we're here for you
keeping up with the neighbors
scotch on the rocks
the cars i left behind
who wants that?
all of your Joe's and Mary's
just one night
the white field
you look familiar, do i know you?
one more for the road
the word on the street
when meeting out of context
the new car salesman
our original weight
the early morning stretch
lost in the funhouse
