much to my neighbors
dismay, i tend
to measure the heat
or cold
of the day by sticking my bare
leg out
the front door.
turning it this way
and that,
seeing if there's
rain or wind.
is today
a day for an umbrella
or a hat?
an overcoat,
or shorts, or a bright
red speedo
perhaps?
