he was a handsome man

when the man

grabbed her purse, 

my poetry

professor,

as she was getting

into her car

with a bag of groceries,

she held on.

she screamed

and kicked,

looking at the man's

face, into his eyes.

he ran.

and when the police

arrived they asked her

what he looked like,

and she said,

he was very tall

and quite handsome

and i thought

maybe

if he wasn't doing this,

he might be nice.
