behind closed doors

the world is full

of hall

monitors, captains

of the squad

all

approved  early  in

life

in high school.

and with many it never

ends.

they feel

the power and need

to correct the world,

erasing fun.

they were the ones

that told

you to not chew gum,

to be quiet,

to listen.

to not smoke behind

the auditorium,

and yet they were 

the worst

of everyone.

doing the same things

but behind closed doors.
