and dumb
on a budget, a small child
in our arms,
married for a year
or two.
what did we know
about anything?
it was so easy
to sign on the dotted line,
and buy into a timeshare,
a room
with an ocean view.
five years later,
we were underwater,
the place
was in shambles
and the maintenance fee
was out the roof.
we had to get a lawyer
and sue.
