St. Patty's Day

i forgot it was St. Patty's day,

until i saw

a group of trashed

men

and women

wearing shiny emerald

colored

derbies and throwing

up green

beer

and bangers and mash

in the alley

behind Murphy's Pub

on King Street.

then it occurred to me,

oh yeah.

it's St. Patrick's Day again.
