almost grown,
each holding a few balloons
clutched in
their hands
begin to fly off,
lifted off the ground,
away from the yard,
the party,
off into the sky they go,
as parents stand
below and wave.
red and yellow,
green and pink
balloons carry them
off into clouds
built like pillows.
