turning down the invitation

i turn

down the invitation to a wedding.

i tell the bride

to be

that i'm bad luck

with such ceremonies.

using my fingers

to count off three.

but i'll be at the party though,

afterwords,

as long as the meal

and drinks,

and the three tiered cake

are free.
