rich friends, no poor friends either.
we are birds
of a feather
with middling
amounts of currency
to our names.
we live in modest homes,
drive
modest cars.
we save, we spend.
we vacation
modestly.
sometimes we cut coupons
while other times
we throw
money into the wind,
but on Monday,
we're back to who we
are.
making our lunch
in the morning before
off to work
again.
