change is hard
we lessen,
the load of our burdens
gradually.
whether
in material
things, or people.
never in one fell swoop.
we rarely just rip
the Band-Aid
off.
change is hard,
even good change.
we know
what we have,
who we are.

911 driving
a little action
last resorts
mr. bacon and mrs. eggs
missing nothing
the snow globe
last chance dot com
she had absolutely no taste in furniture
left overs
perpetually smiling
rentals
the sunday paper
our mirth
stand near
current dreams and desires
what are you wearing this year?
love and money
do nothing
the yellowed woods
find home
you're one of those now, eh?
yo, nice boots, dude
spoiler alert
taking pause
caution in the weeds
what makes us whole
crossing the street
a bowl of broth
the wordless ocean
press on
the landlord with his flashlight
three days later
today blonde, tomorrow who knows.
we want things the same
the cartwheel in the park
what makes us tick
better days are to come
thoughts waiting their turn
the seven dollar donut
just shoot me
the riptide of psychology
whose book is this?
finally a happy poem
a change of scenery
the best people
a single yellow leaf
in the cold shadow
uncle sam wants you
dodging death
term life insurance
yeah, fish i can do
self admiration in small doses
cat's in the craddle
bless you, almost
we need to talk
something wonderful is about to happen
we all make mistakes
that once sweet wine
the preparation
twelve years and more
we hadn't talked in a week
the monk life
what's wrong now
he's alone
309 Dorchester Ave.
white bread and bologna
down at the art center
what shores await
good bones
she had great gams
chopping down the tree
guaranteed weight loss
Christmas Cookies
glued to nothing
we have a pill for that
the beauty unfound
a familiar road
the ribbons in her hair
the poison berry
a parade and new law for everyone
the cooks i have known
nah, it's not a cult
women and autumn leaves
the snail joke
the roadside diner
three olive martinis
done with that
they don't know when to leave
a thousand cuts
cold chicken at 3am
just yesterday it was july
when the child goes west
ten pm
stories without endings
my one week in a cult
there's light at the end
fashion dilemmas
how not to fight
necessary distractions
the church bake sale

these are all FICTIONAL stories and characters and are in no way representative of any real experiences in my or anyone else's life. any similarities are purely coincidental, except for the dog poems.
