the carousel horse

i tell my friend, who has

fallen

off many horses, and has

the bruises

and broken bones

to prove it,

i tell her that i have never

fallen off a horse.

never, except for once

on a carousel, 

to which she says, because

you've never been on

a real horse,

which is true,

and i aim to keep it that way.
