when the woman at the store
scolds me
for not
pushing my shopping
cart into line
with the others.
i've walked it back
from my car
and leave it against a pole
so that it
doesn't roll back into
the street.
well aren't we the lazy one
she says.
shaking her head.
and this, i'm sad to say,
reminds me
of you.
