the fool
in me does many things
i wish he wouldn't
have done.
he has so often
taken me down the wrong path,
accepting the wrong
job, or marrying the wrong girl,
when i should
have passed.
he's said things that i wish
i had never said.
i want to make him stop,
but at times he's
the stronger of the two us,
and i give in
instead.
