no mending of things

i admit it.

guilty as charged.

i throw myself onto the mercy

of the court.

i'm rough on things.

clothes

and chairs.

cars.

past lovers, or

strange friends.

i get the most out of a pair

of shoes, or gloves,

then replace then

at the first

hole or tear.

i'm not looking for the glue

or needle and thread,

or tape.

i'm not into mending things,

as you well know.

patching things up,

is not for me.

i just move on.
