thelma and louise part two

they are the only ones
that truly
love your mother. the only
ones that care,
the only ones
who have a heart and memories.
they alone must bear the burden
of her impending death.
everyone else are posers,
pretenders. Thelma
and Louise, driving
off the cliff of sanity.
with their big hair and sun tans,
their
twisted logic.
they cry and they moan,
they curse like sailors,
drunk and howl at a moon
they don't quite
understand. look at us,
they say as they drag
their crosses down the road,
pounding nails
into their hands.
they want so bad to be praised.
they whip
their own backs mercilessly
and say,
look at me, look at us,
we are the true saints in
this family. the rest of you
go home.
see, see how much we suffer
and worry.
we suffer, because we truly
love, where oh where
dear brothers are your marks,
your scars,
your blood, your misery,
show it and be miserable with
us. if you truly loved
your mother, you would do
what we tell you to do, here,
be a victim with us,
take my whip
and start beating yourself.
