for Halloween
someone asks you as they
try on their fake
fangs with dripping blood.

Halloween, the costumes,
everyone pretending
to be something that
they aren't.
maybe i'll be you and
you be me.
don't say that, you're
scaring me.
just pick a costume
and put it on.
