snowed and school
was out.
we'd
rustle up our coins
and go
to the movies.
the double
feature
was best.
the show didn't matter.
we were
entertained,
our minds soft with
imagination.
soaking it all in,
away
from life,
from our parents.
we had escaped for
a few
dreamy
hours while the snow
fell outside.
