the crowded rooms,
the large gatherings,
the busy
streets
or stores.
the malls.
the concert hall,
the stadiums.
i resist
the party invitations,
the weddings,
the birthdays.
i'm only comfortable
these days
with funerals
where it's okay to stand
quietly
alone.
