i understand that variety
is the spice of life, but
i don't need ten women
telling me to put the seat down,
to get my feet off the coffee
table, to be home at a certain
time for dinner,
and then the talking.
all that talking telling me
how their day went.
recapping what the kids did,
how the neighbors
got a new min-van that seats
twelve,
and what's on sale at
Nordstrom's Rack.
