look of an ocean
never
leaves you,
the width
of it all
the various shades
of blue
and green,
the white breakers
rolling in.
can i touch it?
can i walk
up to it
and drop a foot
into the cold sea?
or should
i rush forward
and dive in
as i do
with
all things
of natural beauty.
