in a short house
at the end of the street,
indigo.
dark and deep.
a subtle sheen
catching the low light
of winter.
a door you want to walk
through.
the brass knob,
the slot for mail,
the heavy
medallion that swings
against the wood.
it's where you are,
behind
the blue door.
waiting for me,
open up.
