i'd like a new country please.

a peaceful one

with

a slower pace in a smaller

town.

not too cold, or too warm.

a place

where i'd feel safe

to walk about

at night.

where I wouldn't have

to lock

the doors or draw

the shades.

a place where politics

is hardly mentioned.

where no one goes to war.

a place where you have

to wait for sheep

to cross the road.

where people go outside

to watch the sun

go down.

i could learn the language

if it isn't mine.

i'll exchange

my money into theirs,

i'll meet new people,

i'll even

tell them about me,

i'll change, i'll share, i'll

become one of them

given time.
