A three day weekend

it's a fine
inn, along the bay.
a get away. water and sun.
a small town that we can
walk through,
eat and shop in.
we'll wear our summer clothes,
pack light.
we'll sleep in,
sleep late,
we'll dance and kiss
the time away,
we'll read,
we'll laugh, we'll do
nothing
for a few days,
nothing but hold each
other tight.
not a word, not a whisper
about the past,
today is all
that matters and then
the night.
