the landscaper
spends his day
in the sun.
his gloved hands
at the wheels
and tools
of his trade,
clipping, clipping
the green,
the dead branches
away. happy in
his labor, not
caring for the easy
way out. the desk
job, moving numbers,
tapping keys.
having to speak
and say so many
things he doesn't
mean.
