this old house

the floor
is tilted,
the window
frames
skewed. the door
doesn't close
all the way,
and there
are shingles
missing
from the roof.
the yard is
full of crab
grass
and the fig
tree is no
longer bearing
fruit. this
marriage
won't last
another storm,
let's both agree
that it's time
to pack,
to leave
separately,
to move.
