crazy time

i once bought
a girl
a very nice watch
just because i
liked her.
it had a pearl
white face
with little
diamonds imbedded
within. in
the sunlight it
looked much
more expensive than
it really was,
but when i told
her that i had
met someone that
i wanted to start
seeing exclusively
she took it off
her slender wrist,
got a hammer
from the kitchen
drawer and proceeded
to smash it
while we talked
on the phone,
what was that i
asked her, and she
said that was the
watch you gave me.
what do you think
about that? and i
said, i think i
made the right
decision.
