i don't get it

does that hurt,
that stick pin
in your eyebrow,
and that safety
pin needle thing
in your tongue,
does it make
you drool and spray
or slur your words,
here's a napkin,
you got a little
spittle at
the corner of your
mouth. i'm just asking.
and that hole in
your ear, the size
of a half dollar,
does it hurt, i
can see the clock
on the other wall
right through it.
but it looks infected,
or red with pain,
i'm just trying to
understand. and
that tattoo of your
mother, or grand
mother, and that
lobster on your hind
parts, or scorpion
will that wash off,
or is it there forever.
i don't mean
to be judgemental
or intrusive, i'm
just trying to
figure it all out
and understand why.
by the way, that hook
in your belly button
seems to have snagged
my belt, hold on,
i can shake it loose.
